While visiting Jason in Germany, we went to the walled city, Nuremburg. It it a massively old town that originally put a wall up around itself to prevent sudden attacks during wartime. Whereas the wall is no longer needed, it is still up and is now a wonderful little tourist attraction. The city has long since outgrown its wall so Nuremburg is both inside and outside the wall. Inside the wall, however, is a tourists dream. Plenty of shops and restaurants. It was wonderful. Jason and I had lunch at a little bakery that served up plenty of chocolate and sugary goodies.
