Erika's Kindergarten Valentine's Day Party and Last Day at Eagle Heights

Erika and her cousin, Mariah...after a long day of celebrating and saying goodbye.

Erika gets a group hug from all of her classmates.

And another....

Erika, saying goodbye to one of her favorite people at Eagle Heights, Mrs. Remich.

Her favorite part of decorating sugar cookies was putting on the sprinkles.

She made more of a mess than a decorative cookie.

Erika trying her best to win the race by blowing her cup across the floor with a straw.

As the room mother of Erika's classroom, I planned their Valentine's Day Party. As always, I kind of overplanned the amount of activities we did that day. We weren't able to fit everything in, but the things that we did do were a big hit. The entire day was a red and pink day. We told all of the kids to wear those colors and all of the food was red....spaghetti, strawberries, cookies, jello, cherry limes. We also had a twizzler eating contest, made a few crafts, had a cup and straw race, did a boys vs. girls relay, handed out cards, and made our own Valentine's Day card boxes.

The kids all seemed to have had a great day. It was a little chaotic, but it really was a great time. At the end of the day, it was time to say goodbye to all of our friends, permanantly. We moved to Lubbock the next day. It was hard for Erika to say bye, but she was anxious to get back to her old friends at her old school.
